our secondary operations. Upon receipt of a new
assembly quote, Hunter Douglas Owensboro immediately
begins the process of long term planning. This
planning includes the potential automation, semi
automation and use of robotics. Automation has
decreased lead times and reduced part cost. All
areas of Hunter Douglas Owensboro are involved
in planning for the assembly of new and existing
products. Our goals in the Assembly Departments
directly reflect our Mission statement. Our top
concerns are our customer. Innovation, teamwork,
and continuous process improvement help to insure
that we exceed our customer’s expectations.
Our Employees are trained and cross trained not
only within the Assembly department but also
within the Molding and Extrusion departments.
This cross training gives our employees more
knowledge of incoming part checks, as well as
versatility.
We have Employee Leads and Technicians to help
insure quality and timely production.
Our Supervisors have a broad knowledge of Assembly
applications, as well as Molding and Extrusion
components.
Our Supervisors as well as production employees,
interact with all areas of our plant, thus minimizing
down time, and quality issues.
We are used to thinking out of the box and quick
to learn new technologies that more efficiently
assemble your parts.
Each assembly produced has its own unique inspection criteria that includes dimensional,
functional and mating part fit checks. Product is inspected at specified intervals
by trained assembly technicians to insure product quality.
